Canis sapiens - gewaltfreies Hundetraining
18 Stunden vor
I get it. I really do. Most don't want to know about arguments about dog training methods, positive vs "balanced"/aversive ways.
We want to see good content on our socials.
I worked with a client this week who didn't know about different methods. So he went with a "trainer" who put a thin noose around the dog's neck and lifted the dog's front feet off the floor with it when he barked. The trainer was bitten three times during the session. I think I've been bitten three times in 17 years of doing this, all have been my fault. This dog was more reactive after the session with this 🤡 than before. No surprise.
I endeavour to show the effectiveness of positive training in a bunch of different environments, different dogs, different issues. I endeavour to be as positive as possible. Unfortunately, the world is not all honey and rainbows.
As long as there are idiots out there putting shock collars, prong collars, choke chains, slip leads, grot/garotte collars on dogs, kicking them in the ribs, hitting them with rolled up towels etc and all the other unnecessary violent things we do to dogs in the name of training, I will never, ever stop educating against them.
We have a million other other things in our lives. Our dogs only have us. Violence, threat, fear, and pain should never be part of that relationship.
